About Stay in

When we first saw Stanley House, a beautiful Georgian building on Lowergate in the heart of Clitheroe, we fell in love. At that time it had been used as offices for over 30 years, and our goal was to restore it to its former glory. This was to be our forever home, but we couldn’t justify using the whole building for just us. We decided to split the house into its original Georgian building and its extension. The extension became Stay in, comprising of Upstairs & Downstairs.

We’re situated in the beautiful market town of Clitheroe, with gorgeous landscapes and landmarks right on our doorstep. Explore the range of local bars and restaurants, we’ve left a note of our favourites for you. If you fancy staying in, grab some supplies from the local market and cook up a storm, the kitchens are equipped for all occasions.

Upstairs

Our modern and spacious duplex apartment offers a large open plan kitchen-living area. With beautiful high ceilings and grand Georgian windows it is a perfect entertaining space. In the evening, hunker down by the log burner after a long day walking.

Enjoy a blissful sleep, and wake up to fantastic views of Pendle Hill from the master bedroom. Both the master and twin bedroom have en-suites with relaxing rain showers.

Downstairs

Our contemporary and comfy ground floor flat is the perfect base to explore the local countryside. Full of modern luxury and traditional character, the open plan kitchen-living area creates a perfect home from home.

The master bedroom has an en-suite with a relaxing rain shower. For the perfect night's sleep create ultimate privacy with the original Georgian shutters, in both the twin and master bedroom.
